25 years ---And It's a Wrap!!!
We might be "done" with the golf tournament and scholarship fund, but we will continue to have gatherings of "old" and new friends.
Who we Are:
The Seiji Isomoto Scholarship (SIS) Fund is a non-profit organization that was established in 1989 to recognize and acknowledge graduating Asian-American high school scholar-athletes in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. The objective of the SIS Fund is to award $1,000 scholarships in the name of Mr. Isomoto to deserving male and female students qualifying under the criteria set forth by the SIS Fund. In its short existence, over one hundred $1,000 scholarships have been presented to deserving scholar-athletes throughout the Southern California area. Mr. Isomoto was a firm believer in helping local youth. He was responsible for creating several successful basketball and baseball programs for Japanese-American youth that thrived in the sixties, seventies, and eighties. These programs provided an opportunity for young men and women to showcase their athletic skills after high school, and created a social environment that led to the development of many life-long friendships. As individuals who have benefited from his generosity, it is our intent to perpetuate his life-long philosophy of providing opportunities for youth. |
